The Adam Lambert AMA video on YouTube has been extremely popular for the past couple of days. Those that missed the Adam Lambert AMA performance are searching for the YouTube video to see what all the controversy is about. A lucky few will be successful and find an Adam Lambert AMA video on YouTube. They will get excited, link it in their blog and email all of their friends. Then, a short few minutes later they try to re-visit the link only to realize that it has been pulled by Dick Clark Productions because of a copyright claim. Then, you have to delete your blog post (which was bringing in thousands of page views and ad revenue), email your friends a retraction (to avoid looking like an idiot) and try to find another link to the video (and try to save it to your computer this time.)

So what's the big deal? Why does Dick Clark Productions even care that people uploaded the video on to YouTube? Isn't it actually a GOOD thing? After all - viewing the Adam Lambert AMA performance was technically free..

Dick Clark Productions owns the rights to the Adam Lambert AMA performance. They can sell, distribute, and reproduce copies of the performance as they see fit. The copyright protects their financial interest in the production. After all - they did most likely spent a lot of money on the production. With all the controversy surrounding the Adam Lambert performance, distributing the video could bring in a significant amount of money.

Dick Clark Productions isn't pulling the Adam Lambert AMA video on YouTube because they are a buzz kill. They aren't doing it because they are embarrassed of the performance. They have deleted the videos as they pop up on YouTube because they want to protect their financial interests. This is something that everyone should accept and understand.

Adam Lambert performed "For Your Entertainment," his debut single, at the American Music Awards Sunday night and it is the talk of the Internet. Indeed, Adam Lambert's performance at the American Music Awards will go done in history as one of the most controversial live television.

He demonstrated this repeatedly on American Idol - and it is primarily his singing that touched people at the heart level (Yes, his good looks and sex appeal are a big part of his appeal - but the overarching element in the mix is the singing - it's the singing, stupid!) The main problem with Adam Lambert's AMA performance was his singing. He was expending so much energy prancing around the stage feeling up dancers that, quite frankly, his singing sucked. What is the point in Adam Lambert getting down and dirty (and risk hurting himself) if his singing is going to suffer - and boy did Adam Lambert's singing suffer on the AMAs. And what a travesty that is, forAdam Lambert is one of the finest singers to come along in ages (he is arguably one of the best singers of all time).

After all, everyone and their brother is talking about the Adam Lambert AMA controversy and, to be sure, it will be a major topic of discussion on the Web and around water coolers for days to come. What better way to promote an album (Adam Lambert's album drops today)?

Now, one could argue that Adam Lambert's insanely controversial live performance at the American Music Awards was a brilliant PR move.

Much-awaited film, New Moon released yesterday and got high response from the very first show. Hundreds of thousands of fans gathered at theaters across the United States at midnight to view “New Moon.”

Some theater owners have started additional showings for the Twilight after getting awesome response from the fans or “Twihards,” as they are called.

New Moon is a 2009 American romantic fantasy film. It is based on the novel of the same name by Stephenie Meyer and is the sequel to 2008’s Twilight.

New Moon, has set records for advance ticket sales. The ticket-agency reported that the vampire film did a bumper online ticket sales for Fandango, accounting for 86 percent. The second installment of the Twilight film franchise has hit all time new record. Above all for the first nationwide showings at midnight all its tickets were sold out.

Many people are searching as to how to see the just released New Moon online. At present, it is not possible to see the whole film online for free.

Never miss this movie especially if you really love Edward and the beauty of Bella Swan. Just go to your nearest movie theater and enjoy the movie.

On this day in 1962 Doug Flutie was born.

He would have a long career in the NFL and was a champion in Canada.

But he'll always be best remembered for one play in 1984. Even today it is hard to believe he completed this pass that won him the Heisman Trophy.

Brent Musburger had a great call on television but Dan Davis, now with ESPN, had the wonderful radio call and he remembers everything of that play

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — The Game has lost a lot of luster.

Ohio State has beaten Michigan five straight times, its best winning streak and the longest in the series since the 1920s.

The ninth-ranked Buckeyes (9-2, 6-2 Big Ten) have already clinched at least a share of their fifth straight conference title and a spot in the Rose Bowl.

Michigan (5-6, 1-6) is mired in another miserable year – coming off a school-record nine-loss season – and is nearly a two-touchdown underdog to lose Saturday at home to guarantee consecutive losing records for the first time since 1962-63.

Ohio State coach Jim Tressel, though, insisted those factors haven't diminished the rivalry.

"That would never occur to the participants," Tressel said. "Perhaps to someone from the outside, someone from Utah or something, might not maybe jump on it because neither team is being talked about every day in the national scheme of things."

Michigan has stayed in the news lately for unwanted reasons.

An internal audit was released Monday in untimely fashion with details about the football program failing to file the school's forms that track how much players work out and practice. The forms are used as a tool to help comply with NCAA rules.

Rodriguez said Wednesday the process of filing forms was corrected as soon as he learned it wasn't happening, but said the investigation prevented him from further comment.

An upset against Ohio State would take some heat off Rodriguez for his on-the-field woes and would give a lot of young players some much-needed practices and upperclassmen who were recruited by Lloyd Carr a chance to experience the postseason again.

But Rodriguez said all will not be lost if Michigan loses to Ohio State – again.

"It's not like we're going to say we're doomed without a bowl game this year," Rodriguez said in an interview with The Associated Press in his office. "But I really want it for our seniors."

While speculation swirls about Rodriguez's future, he is confident the school will stay committed to him.

"The administration has been very supportive," Rodriguez said. "I've heard from many alumni and former players and they've all been very supportive."

One former player was anything but supportive when he left Ann Arbor.

Justin Boren played for Carr for two years, then did the unthinkable and transferred to Ohio State after Rodriguez arrived because he said "family values have eroded" in a parting shot.

"That was just like a slap in the face," Michigan defensive end Brandon Graham said.

Tressel wouldn't let Boren speak with reporters this week, but his teammates said he'll be fired up to play in the Big House in scarlet and gray.

"This is his week," Ohio State offensive tackle Jim Cordle said. "I remember when he first came here and all the talk and everything like that, and all the messages he was showing me, and then he went off to the media and said some things about Michigan.

"That's probably why he's not out here (talking to reporters) right now. But he's pumped up for this one and I know those guys are going to be going after him."

The Wolverines will be going after Terrelle Pryor, too, if their struggling defenders can catch him.

Pryor considered attending Michigan when Rodriguez left West Virginia to coach college football's winningest team, but chose to be a Buckeye.

Rodriguez acknowledged it would be difficult to prepare his defense for Pryor.

"You find a guy 6-6 that runs a 4.3," Rodriguez said. "If I had him, he probably wouldn't be on the scout team."

Ohio State seems set up to roll to another easy victory in the rivalry, perhaps like its 42-7 win against Michigan last season.

The Buckeyes have won two straight – against Iowa and Penn State – while the Wolverines' only win since September was against Delaware State.

Michigan's defense has been bad enough to give up at least 35 points in the last four games. Its offense will be without one of its best players, running back Brandon Minor, because of an injured shoulder.

But Tressel knows the rivalry well enough to realize the best team doesn't always win The Game.

"You have to be a little bit careful," Tressel said. "Very seldom do you go into this game and study the statistics sheet. That's just not the way it works."

Blorenge Mountain

Posted by Usman Friday, November 20, 2009 0 comments

The Blorenge is the name of a mountain which is situated in Monmouthshire, southeast Wales. The height of this mountain is 559 meter or 1,833 feet and on the southern side of Black Mountains, it front onto the valley of River Usk and also in the National Park of Brecon Beacons. The Blorenge fronts onto the village of Llanfoist and market town of Abergavenny to the north in the Usk Valley.

The Blorenge is situated within both the World Heritage Site (Blaenavon Industrial Landscape) and Brecon Beacons National Park. Brecon Canal and Monmouthshire lies on the foot of the mountain. Different types of rocks have been composed in the fashion of layer-cake to build up the mountain Blorenge. The lower slopes of this mountain are formed from the mudstones and sandstones that were deposited during the period of Devonia.

The higher reaches of the Blorenge Mountain are formed with the set of limestones, sandstones and mudstones of Carboniferous age. The flat terrain of this mountain is formed from the rough sandstones that lie down at the border of the Coal Measures and Millstone Grit.

When glacier of the Usk Valley flowed to its north during the ice ages, the shape the Blorenge Mountain was modified. The Punchbowl is the name of eastern side of the Blorenge. Most parts of this hill are open and in the access of walkers. There are several bridleways and footpaths which run over and to it. Hillwalking point can also be found on the Blorenge that runs around it.

Black Friday doorbuster deals are popular with shoppers and the Internet is helping to spread the word on these deals so fast that the words “doorbuster” and “Black Friday” are constantly in the Google trending topics. Best Buy, Walmart, Target and many other retailers are trying to lure shoppers in as early as possible to nail down some good retails sales numbers despite a shaky economy.

Black Friday 2009 doorbuster deals typically mean consumers have to get up at the break of dawn, stand in long lines and fight for a deal that might be sold out before they even cross the store’s threshold. Some retailers are starting these doorbusters early, even selling them online, to avoid the stampede in the stores.

Other retailers such as Walmart and Toys R Us are opening earlier to avoid the crowds. Walmart will stay open all day on Thanksgiving and right through the day on Black Friday, November 27, 2009.

Toys R Us recently announced that it would open its doors at midnight on Black Friday instead of the traditional 6am. Consumers can start getting the bargains a bit earlier and hopefully the stores will see less of the often tragic pushing and shoving that occurs on the highly competitive shopping day.

Best Buy is implementing a ticket policy for its Black Friday doorbuster deals for 2009. Stores will open at 5 a.m. on Friday, November 27. Each store will decide when to hand out tickets in the two hours before store opening. Stores base their decisions on multiple factors, including the length of the line, the weather, and store personnel levels.

Tickets will be handed out for door buster deals at Best Buy until they are gone. Lines tend to form early, and Best Buy is unable to guarantee that all customers will receive a ticket.

Computers, TVs and Video Game systems seem to be the hot Black Friday doorbuster deals to get up early for. Kmart is opening at 5am to offer a Delstar 7 Inch Wireless Netbook 05 Windows CE for $119.99. Best Buy has a Dynex 32″ 720p LCD HDTV doorbuster for $299.99. They also have a Sony PlayStation 3 Package w/120GB Console, Little Big Planet, and Ratchet And Clank $299.99 for early birds who get to the Black Friday sale before the sun rises.

Target opens at 5am and people have been chatting up Target’s $3 appliance deals for Black Friday doorbuster shoppers. The Chefmate 12-Cup Coffeemaker, 2-Slice Sandwich Maker, 2-Slice Toaster and
Slow Cooker are all $3 for early risers. They are also giving lots of gift cards with purchase to keep people coming back to Target, such as the doorbuster deal of a DSi Game System With Free $20 Gift Card for $169.99.

Walmart seems to be the king once again with the doorbuster bargains for Black Friday 2009. Although all retailers are handing out these limited quantity bargains to lure customers in, Walmart has the deals that will undoubtedly get them some superior traffic on Black Friday. They are implementing a better system for getting those deals this year. Read about the new rules set up by Walmart here.

Walmart’s Black Friday doorbuster deals will include an eMachines 15.6″ Notebook for $198.00, a TomTom One GPA for $59.00, and an Emerson 32″ HDTV for $248.00.

Many great deals will also be available online or prior to Black Friday as retailers try their hardest to get consumers to open up their wallets for the holiday shopping season. Smart shoppers know that quantities are limited and they won’t always get the bargain they set out to buy on Black Friday 2009, but having a back-up plan or keeping an eye on the upcoming Cyber Monday sales is just good planning.

From Britain to China, fans are going crazy

It's a love story between a beautiful young woman and the man of her dreams – who just happens to be 109-year-old vampire.

It's no mystery that the "Twilight" series has been the teen publishing phenomenon of recent times, prompting comparisons to Harry Potter. That success is set to be mirrored in cinemas worldwide with the release this weekend of "New Moon," the second movie adaptation from author Stephenie Meyer's series of books that brim with (unconsummated) desire.

"New Moon" was the fastest advance-selling film of the year in Britain, exceeding the £1 million ($1.6 million) mark, according to the country's largest cinema chain, Odeon.

In India, teenager Ritisha Mishra was so outraged at having been bypassed by the first movie that she rallied likeminded partisans online – and galvanized distributor PVR into bringing both the first and second films to the big screen over the next two weeks.

And in China, where at least one of the books in the series has perched atop the bestseller list for nearly a year, hundreds of thousands of admirers have been soaking up pirated versions of the first movie, which opens in general release only next week.
